Accept the terms, and then click Enable private app development.
Create a private app for SlideRule Analytics
You should create a new private app specifically for SlideRule Analytics and grant it only the permissions it needs. To do so:
If starting from your Shopify admin, go to Apps, click Manage private apps. Your account must have permission to create private apps.
Click Create private app.
In the App details section, enter “SlideRule Analytics” as the name of the private app and “info@slideruleanalytics.com” as the contact email address.
In the Admin API section, click Show inactivate Admin API permissions
Grant Read access to the following permissions:
Analytics
Assigned fulfillment orders
Customers
Discounts
Draft orders
Fulfillment services
Gift cards
Inventory
Marketing events
Order editing (note, this is still read-only. SlideRule Analytics will only be able to see edits to orders. Not make them.)
Orders
Price rules
Product listings
Products
Reports
Resource feedback
Shipping
Scroll to the bottom and click Save.
Click Create app.
When successful, you will see the following message.
Scroll down to the Admin API section to see the API Key, Password, and Shared Secret Save these somewhere safe, like a password manager, and add them to your SlideRule Analytics account.
Add your Store Name, private app API Key, Password, and Shared Secret to your SlideRule Analytics account.
Login in to your shopify store’s admin and copy your store name from the url (store-name.myshopify.com)
Enter your Store Name in the set up wizard.
Add your private app API Key and Password in the setup wizard.
You’re all set. Your data will take a few minutes to load in SlideRule Analytics.
